Mind the Gaps: UK Law After Brexit FREE

What does Brexit mean for the environment, travel and healthcare? We know that exiting the European Union has significant consequences for our day to day lives, but who sets the agenda for negotiations, and to what extent can life continue as normal after Brexit?

When it comes to the environment, freedom of movement and healthcare, soundbites from politicians and the mainstream media narrative fail to address the legal dimension of negotiations, promises and deals.

Academics from Birmingham Law School have warned policy makers of the “cliff-edge” situation that will face the UK should key legal implications of Brexit continue to be overlooked. Join our panel debate with speakers Professor Robert Lee, Professor Jean McHale, and Dr Ben Warwick, researchers whose Brexit gap analysis has revealed a disintegration of protections that shape the day-to-day lives of people across the United Kingdom and Ireland. A series of interventions led by each researcher has brought these vulnerabilities to the attention of the public and politicians, and thus shaped subsequent regulations and legislation to prevent harms and protect rights relating to travel, healthcare and the environment. Find out what this might mean for you or your business or organisation. Please note that this event will be filmed.
