Social Justice Shorts

To mark World Day of Social Justice, Neighbourhood Shorts will be screening a programme of short films exploring various social justice issues in the UK today, touching on topics including immigration, work, gender and more.

Calling Home (2018) Maesteg (2018) Action Man: Battlefield Casualties (2015) Over (2015) Cracked Screen (2017) Lasting Marks (2018) Work (2017)

Films start 7.30 £3 suggested entry on the door

Please note that this is the same short film programme that screened with The World Transformed Birmingham in August 2019, returning for a special event for World Day of Social Justice.

  • Films will be screened in The GAP Gallery next door, so if you wish to come along to The MIX simply for a drink, some food, a chat, to play board games or listen to music then you can still do so for free and without partaking in film-watching!

This event is an edition of The MIX Thursday Socials, a new weekly social space featuring a bar serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and food, and a rotating programme of exciting events and activities. To find out more, look at our other Facebook events or visit
