Thursday Evening Beginners Pottery

During this eight week course, beginner students will learn to prepare the clay, both generally for hand building, and throwing on the wheel. You will be taught the basics to get going in any pottery technique you might be interested in … most people want to get on the potters wheel. Once you are making vessels, you will learn to refine the surface of your work ready for decoration. You will cover various surface decoration techniques, including using using coloured slips and glazes. Students will also learn “good studio practice” in our studio
