Study Day – Anton Chekhov, Three Sisters

Such was the intensity and emotional impact of a production of Tri sestri that we saw in London in the summer that we feel impelled to revisit the sisters and renew our acquaintance. Lev Dodin’s Maly Drama Theatre of St Petersburg has been performing the play for nine years with substantially the same cast – and that is after a rehearsal period which lasted five years.
