CBSO: Yamada

A horn calls in the twilight; the piano responds, and Brahms’ Second Piano Concerto is on its way – 50 minutes of poetry, passion, and star-crossed romance. It’s ideal for the young Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi, and Kazuki Yamada has found the perfect pairing: the symphony that Brahms’ friend Schumann wrote in homage to his wife Clara, the love of both composers’ lives.

CBSO+ 6.15pm: CBSO Principal Guest Conductor Kazuki Yamada is interviewed by Margaret Cookhorn – Principal Contrabassoon.
