Future Poets Festival: Being Human

This workshop is for drama students, poets or theatre types who want the opportunity to focus on the art of performing poetry for an audience.

Following on from the highly successful tour of ‘Being Human’ Poetry in Performance production, a member of the cast and the Assistant Producer will share their experiences, tips and techniques on how to create intimate poetry performances with ease and confidence. Emphasis will be placed on ways of embodying a poem (the process whereby a performer takes on the voice of the poem) and how to relate your performance directly to the space you are performing in.

During the workshop, we will create a number of different poetry performances that will then be performed in an intimate performance space at the Future Poets Festival on Saturday 4th August.
