Birmingham Heritage: Bilberry Hill Gun Proof Range FREE


Access to all the First World War Bilberry Hill Gun Proof Range sites in the Country Park where guides will explain the history behind these remnants of WWI. Guided walks around the WW1 and WW2 sites in the Country Park at 2pm on both days. This day is organised by the Lickey Hills Local History Society.

Displays and exhibits in the School Room on: The HLF First World War Project on the Lickey Hills; the men on our war memorials; Peace Day 1919; Trams and Teas; the Old Rose and Crown and the turnpike road; Lost local churches; Big Bertha’s centenary; Witness Trees; Frankley before New Frankley; and some maps from our collection, including our very large reproduction map which combines our local tithe maps.
