From Anxiety to Peace- Half Day Course Meditate in Birmingham

Anxiety is an increasingly common problem in our busy, modern lives. Our mind seems to get stuck, ruminating over unwanted situations that may not ever happen. This unhelpful habit of mind can feel completely overwhelming. We become locked into the cycle and think that we are just in nature ‘an anxious person’. Buddha taught that like all the painful states of mind, anxiety can be reduced and finally eliminated through meditation. By learning to control our own mind, instead of allowing our mind to control us, we can create a sense of inner peace & mental freedom.
On this half-day course learn mind tools that will allow you to move towards an anxiety-free life. These include: •a simple yet powerful meditation practice that can calm a racing mind allowing you to regain mental equilibrium and deal effectively with the challenges of daily life. •wisdom understandings and ways of thinking that will help you to combat the anxiety habit and be more relaxed, peaceful and positive in daily life.
The half day course consists of two one hour sessions (10:30-11:30am & 12-1pm) which include guided meditations and a talk on the topic. There is a half hour break in the middle for refreshments. You are welcome to arrive from for pre-course refreshments and to stay after the course also to relax in the centre
