20-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter Rachel Sermanni packs an almighty punch with her earthy folk melodies and dextrous fingerpicking.
She self-released her debut Black Currents EP, produced by marvel Ian Grimble (Benjamin Francis Leftwich, Manic Street Preachers), which at once conjures a kaleidoscopic reverie of sights and sounds. She has recently released her second single Eggshells and has sessions booked on BBC Radio 2 and 4.
Rachel's razor-sharp wit and natural affinity with any audience somehow belie her young age. She has been learning her craft over the past three years playing hundreds of shows across the UK, Europe, US and India, including high profile shows and support tours with the likes of Mumford & Sons, Newton Faulkner, KT Tunstall, Fink, Michael Kiwanuka, John Grant, Ron Sexsmith and Elvis Costello.
