Discovering Birmingham; Walking Fun in Brum!
Understand how Birmingham developed and is moving into the future. A great way to relax on a Sunday afternoon in the city with some humour and memorable experiences thrown in as well: • Earlier times – medieval origins • From Georgian entrepreneurs to Victorian idealists • Understanding the Jewellery Quarter • Canal city • An artistic side • Developing for the future. This walk starts and ends at the Library of Birmingham in Centenary Square. Content is loosely based on the new tourist guide Discovering Birmingham. A copy of the guide book is included in the ticket price (book normally £5 in Library foyer shop). Tours may use an audio system and if so you can bring your own earphones or purchase a new pair for £1 at the start which you keep at the end.
This 1 3/4 hour walking tour gives a great introduction to the city and is of interest equally to local people and visitors.
Book tickets (Adults: £12-50, Child 6-16: £5-00) from the Positively Birmingham website or Tripadvisor. NOTE: Never come without a ticket as the event may not run if no one else has pre-booked
We support Sifa Fireside who work on acute and longer term homeless issues in Birmingham with at least 10% of all sales going to their work. Donations are clearly stated on our website.
